The support group has its own badge as shown above, this measures 2.5 * 2.0 cm. These are on sale from the website at £3.00 each inc p&p or can be purchased on the liver ward. All money raised from the sale of these badges is for the benefit of liver patients only. Please contact the secretary or webmaster for further details.
There is also a booklet which the support group has had printed containing the real life stories of some of the support members detailing their experiences with having a transplant, a worthy read! These are also available, mainly on the wards but can be supplied from this website if required. We do ask for a donation for these booklets purely to cover the printing costs.
Any money received from these items would be greatly appreciated.

Your liver is your life.
You only have one and though it is unique in its ability to regenerate, it can only survive limited damage - so it does need looking after.
The liver is the largest gland, and solid organ in the body, weighing some 1.8 kg in men and 1.3 kg in women. It holds approximately 13% (about one pint or 0.57 litres) of the total blood supply at any given moment, and it is estimated that it has over 500 functions.
